Background: Carlos studied the American style of Kenpo Karate for approximately 2 years in Henderson, NV beginning in 1997. In 2000 he began training with an MMA team called the SharkTank in Rancho Cucamonga, CA led by Eddie Millis. he fought in two amateur MMA fights, one amateur kickboxing a Jiu Jitsu competition and one professional Muay Thai fight while training with this team. In 2004 he began training with Jeff Gibson at the USA Boxing gym in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. While with Jeff he fought in two amateur boxing competitions. In 2006 he started training with Lou Martinez at the Palm Beach Boxing gym in Palm Beach, FL. While training with Lou he fought in two amateur boxing competitions. In June of 2007 the company he work for opened the Fizogen Xtreme Couture MMA gym in Wellington, FL. Since then he has been training in MMA, Brazilian jiu jitsu, wrestling, muay thai & boxing with Gracie Barra’s Marcelo Ribeiro, Tom Mulchy, Alan Bowonthamachakr and Mark Sinopoli. With this team he has competed in several jiu jitsu competitions and have had two amateur MMA fights.
